The Hobo Railroad and the Winnipesaukee Railroad have been running these Fall Foliage excursions for 20 years and "they wrote the book" on how to have a wonderful enjoyable and well planned Foliage Tour in New England.

We take care of all the details from large to small to make your trip enjoyable and interesting. On the 4 hour and all day tours We ensure that free beverages snacks are available, questions are answered, bathrooms are onboard for your use, the meal is superb, a mile by mile description brochure is provided, with stops at historic and interesting places, passengers are free to move about, and we make sure our windows are clean and open for photography. Although smoking is not allowed on the train, there are at least two stops along the way for a break. This is a guarantee that we uphold each and every year.

  • FROM LINCOLN NH     Thru 10/25 at 11:00 & 1:00

    Come aboard the Hobo Railroad and enjoy 1.4 hour round trip, Fall Foliage Season Train Excursion in a natural woodsy setting along the banks of the Pemigewasset River. The Hobo Picnic Lunch as well as ice cream & beverages are available on board. Train departs Hobo Jct. station at 64 Railroad St Lincoln, NH 03251 at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Reservations only taken for groups of 20 or more. Trains on 09/8 to 9/18 Weekends, 09/19 to 10/18 Daily and 10/19 to 10/23 Weekends only. $13.00 Adult \ $11.00 child ( 2 and under ride free) Hobo Picnic Lunch $10.00.   Purchase tickets on line or at the station.

  • FROM MEREDITH & WEIRS BEACH   Weekends thru 10/25

    The Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad offers Round Trip Fall Foliage Season Train Excursions along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee weekends from 09/07 to 10/25 from Meredith Station. 154 Main Street, Meredith, NH 03253 at 10:30, 12:30 and 2:30 for a two hour excursion. Departures from Weirs Beach are hourly starting at 11:00 to 3:00. with a choice of a one or two hour round trip. Hobo Picnic Lunch, ice cream, beverages & gifts available aboard the train. Adults $14.00 / Child $11.00 Hobo Picnic Lunch $10.00 ( 2 and under ride free ).   • FROM MEREDITH FOLIAGE DINNER TRAINS

    Dine along Lake Winnipesaukee on Saturday nights only on 9/19 through 10/24 at 5:00PM. Enjoy the Fall Foliage as you travel the shoreline of the lake while enjoying a delicious Turkey Dinner catered by the famous Harts Turkey Farm. Adults $34.95 Reservations Required.   • FOUR HOUR FALL FOLIAGE SPECIAL

    This special round trip train excursion departs from Meredith at 154 Main St. Meredith, NH 03253 on 9/27 10/4 10/10 10/11 10/12 10/17 10/18 & 10/24 at 11:00 AM. This route is only traveled during fall foliage season, so sit back and in our comfy coaches and enjoy the fall scenery. You will pass Lake Waukewan and Winona, follow along and over the Pemigewasset River from Ashland to Livermore Falls with station stops along the way. At the Common Man Inn in Plymouth the passengers will be served a hot buffet luncheon.

    There are 3 classes of services on this excursion and all are rest room equipped. Coach Class service is $ 49:00 adult / $25:00 child (2 & under ride free ). First Class the "Cold Harbor" private Pullman car is $79 (limit of 16 Passengers). This car offers cozy, comfortable parlor style seating with a car steward aboard. Presidents Class in the private Pullman car "103" is $99 (limit of 25 passengers). Featured in this car is an open style piano lounge with comfy chairs and a your own car steward.   • ALL DAY AUTUMN LEAF SPECIAL

    This special round trip train excursion is offered only during foliage season with two departure dates. It departs Meredith, 154 Main St, Meredith, NH 03253 at 11:00 AM on Sat 09/26 & 10/3. and travels to Lincoln, NH in the White Mountains. Sit back and in our comfy coaches and enjoy the fall scenery. You will pass Lake Waukewan and Winona, and follow along and over the Pemigewasset river through Ashland and Plymouth.
    The train will stop northbound in/a> Plymouth where the passengers will be served a hot buffetluncheon at the Common Man Inn After, the train continues on through Livermore Falls, Campton, Beebe River, Thornton and Woodstock to reach the Hobo Jct station in Lincoln. On the return there will be an afternoon snack and beverage onroute and a stop at the restored Ashland Station for a short visit followed by an arrival at Meredith before 6:30 PM.

    Ride in and enjoy the Pullman Lounge Car "Cold Harbor". Comfortable seating 15 in easy chair seats, couches, and dining room chairs. Your own Car Steward will be onboard for extra service. An opportunity at living the elegance and class once enjoyed only by the Railroad Barons in the past. This car has a lounge area, dining room, kitchen and full restrooms with running water. Climate controlled and it also features some sliding windows as well as a full vestibule with dutch door for picture taking or just viewing. The ticket price of $99.00 for the All Day Tour and $79.00 each for the Four Hour Tour includes a Hot Buffet at The Common Man and First Class Service also includes some special snacks, treats and beverages enroute served by your own Car Steward. This car may be reserved for the price of 16 First Class Tickets, making this your private car for the day with your own guests.

    Truly a Presidents Car. An opportunity at living the elegance and class once enjoyed only by Railroad Barons in the past. Ride in the former President's Car #103 from the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad. It seats comfortably about 25 in easy chair seats and couches. Anemities include a Yamaha Electronic Piano for your entertainment in a quiet, smooth, comfortable, setting with picture windows surrounding you.

    This Pullman Car is climate controlled with full restroom with hot and cold running water as well as your own car steward onboard. Enjoy this for our all day ride for $130.00 which also includes the Hot Buffet at The Common Man Inn in Plymouth.

    Also available for our 4 Hour trip at $99.00 (see 4 Hour Description above). The 103 car has 120 volt AC for heating and climate control as well as providing an opportunity to enable riders to recharge batteries, cameras, cell phone etc. and Presidents Class Service includes some special snacks, treats and beverages enroute served by your own car steward onboard for extra service.
